Suzuki and Subaru pulling back from WRC
As you already know, things are pretty bad in the auto industry, so we shouldn’t be surprised if things would get worse right? Well wrong. No one was expecting this financial crisis to hit a sport that we all love, the WRC. Suzuki declared that the poor sales in the last period had decided their faith, there’s not going to be a Suzuki WRC team this year. Although the team was active only for a year, they actually did pretty good for a “rookie”
Following Suzuki, Subaru has declared that the new season might not start for them, because of the money problems the automaker is facing.
This is a big blow for Subaru fans, Subaru being one of the most loved teams in the WRC circuit. I knew things were bad, but this is ridiculous, maybe Citroen and Mitsubishi will drop out and than no one will watch WRC races anymore.
Give Subaru a buck and save this sport.
