Mercedes drops V12’s
Yes it’s true, Mercedes Benz is dropping it’s V12 engines. The reason is simple: V12 engines are too big so they have to design bigger cars to fit the engines in. Come one, you didn’t think that they would do it for the enviroment did you?
Smaller can be good in this situation, because Mercedes plans to use twin turbocharged V8’s, so you will get the same power from a smaller engine, that means lighter engine, which means lighter car which means faster cars. It works in theory, hope it will work in the real life as well.
