BMW gets really turbocharged

We all love the roar of a M3, or M5 right? It’s that natural aspired V8 and V10. There’s no fake performance, just raw power. Well that’s about to change. BMW is scrapping those engines and wants supercharged ones for the M Series. It seems that the M V8 and V10 are to expensive and that it’s really hard to keep up with emission regulations.

I think that the Mercedes and Audi’s success with turbocharged engines had something to do as well. So say bye bye to those high revving engines and say hello to twin turbochargers.

The first M car to get this type of engine is the new xDrive X6 M. It will get a biturbo 4.4 liters V8 that will produce 500 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. I practically don’t care, I just want it to go fast right?
