Mercedes has launched the new 2010 Mercedes E Class, and boy it looks good. The odd thing about this car is the fact that it doesn’t really look like a Mercedes. I know it has a Mercedes badge and everything, but it kinda looks ungerman right? The should have debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March, but it seems Mercedes wanted to make us a surprise, so surprise!

The new E class can have double fog lamps, or a single LED fog lamp and oval or trapezoid exhaust, it differs on the option package. The luxury inside is mind blowing, check out those finishing touches. Although it doesn’t look very germanish on the outside, they really did a home run with the interior.

It wouldn’t be a Merc if it didn’t have gadgets right? The new Mercedes E Class offers you all kind of gadgets: sleep sensors to detect if the driver is sleepy, the car will make a noise to “wake up” the driver and it will show a coffee sign on the dashboard. It even has lane sensors to detect if you changed lane unintentionally, smart high beam lights that decrease light intensity as a front car gets closer, pedestrian detection and night vision all as optional.

The new E Class will be available starting with 2010. The engines available will be a 3.5 V6 with 292 hp and a 5.5 V8 with 388 hp. The 4 Matic, E63 and Bluetec versions will be launched after the official launch of the new E Class.

Is it just me or does the back look like a Hyundai Sonata’s back?
