2009 Detroit Auto Show: Audi R8 V10
Audi R8 is the super sport version of any Audi. It’s almost one of the cheapest supercars out there. Well Audi kinda ruined that, because the new V10 has a pretty nifty price tag of 142.000 euros. The good thing is that for that money you get a first car that has all it’s light systems as LED lights: fog lights, day lights, low beam lights, high beam lights, back lights and even the turn signals.
Audi says that they opted for the LED light because they light is really close to a daytime light and because those lights use 8 times less energy than regular lights.
The new Audi R8 V10 has 517 hp and can reach 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds. Thanks to the gear box, this 5.2 FSi V10 engine has a 13l/100 km consumption rate, believe me that’s not bad for a supercar. I drove a 2.0 FSi A4 that had basically the same consumption rate.
