Car heaven

Did you ever stopped and think where you cars go after they die? Some say they get to be driven by Stig in haven, and some say there’s a car purgatory, but all I know is that this GT-R ended up as spare parts after it’s owner T-boned it. The little guy had only 4000 km on board, but I guess it’s time came.

Just Jap Racing is a Australian motorsport outfit that buys wrecked supercars to use them as spair parts for their own racing program.

Ford F-150 completes the Baja 1000

When Ford developed and launched the F-150 Raptor, everyone knew they hit the jackpot. After testing the car in the Nevada desert, every car enthusiast was amazed on how well it performed. Ford wanted to conquer any doubtful person in the world by entering a modified version of the F-150 in the Baja 1000. Guess what? They crossed the finish line and finished third in the Class 8 division.

Retro Corvette Stingray

Are General Motors going old school? It seems like it, after all, they did build a retro Camaro didn’t they? Well some people get a bit carried away so they made this rendering of the future Corvette Stingray. Christian Cyrulewsky, the author of this rendering said that he based his design on the third generation Vette.

If you want to improve your own Vette check out CorvetteGuys.com and their large selection of Corvette Parts.

Check out the renderings bellow, my fave is the black one:

Detroit not a fave anymore

It seems like car makers don’t want to spend their money on the Detroit Auto Show. Nissan follows Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Ferrari, Land Rover and Rolls Royce and announced that they won’t be presenting any cars at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show. Nissan actually hasn’t anything new to present because they presented all their new designs at the LA Auto Show. All that remains is the new concept van named NV2500, but that’s not a very important car for them right now.

Spy pictures: Ferrari 599 roadster

If you think a Ferrari 599 Fiorano is rare, check out this Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. These oictures were taken in sunny Italy (not so sunny anymore). It doesn’t look like a convertible, but trust me it is. If you look closer you will see that the roof was fitted on the car, so it actually is a convertible 599. The car could get a soft-top like the F430 Spider, a folding hard-top like the California or a rotating flip-top like that featured on the 575M-based Superamerica.

Size doesn’t matter…really

It’s usually a matter of size right? Well in some cases it really is, but when it comes to cars…neah. In this unlikely scenario, a Mini T-boned a Chevy Tahoe, you know…a big SUV. The guy in the Tahoe crossed a red light. I guess he was busy with his satellite radio and tire pressure, who cares? He got T-boned by a freakin’ Mini and got tilted over.

2010 Mazda 3 hatchback

The new 2010 Mazda 3 hatchback will be presented next week at the Bologna Auto Show. Mazda has released some pictures of the car’s interior and it’s new sleek exterior design. This new hatch will have a 2.2L diesel engine, just like we Europeans like. It has the same “smile” as the sedan version, but as always, the hatchback is much better.
