Jalopnik Fail on the GTI pics

Jalopnik got it wrong. I like those guys, they really have a nice blog, but they got it wrong this time. They said that this (above) is the first four door version of the upcoming MK VI GTI. Well actually it’s not. Volkswagen introduced at the Paris Motor Show a 2 door version and a 4 door version of this car as well. The 2 door version was a white car, and the four door version was blue, exactly like this one.

Want some proof? Check out the Paris Motor Show photos on my other car blog by clicking HERE.

Don’t worry guys, it happens to the best of us.

Castrol monkey commecial

We humans have a tendency to like monkeys. Maybe because they remind us of our great great grandfather, or maybe just because they’re fun, I really don’t know, but we love them. We like them when they sneeze and we like them when they become our trunk monkeys. I’m sure you all saw this funny Catrol commercial during the Super Bowl right?

I’m back

I’m back. Had a bunch of exams on my head so I couldn’t write for a while, but like the Superbowl, that’s over. Not much has happened this past few weeks. The financial crisis still persists and the automakers still throw away money like the own them.

I’m back in business, so here we goo….

Put it in park, stupid!

Range Rover VS Fiat Panda 4×4

The mighty Range Rover Vs a Fiat Panda 4×4 sounds stupid, or does it? I’ve been willing to show you this, but I just didn’t have the time. When I saw this at Fifth Gear about a year or two ago it blew my mind. Seeing this video it all makes sense, I understand why James May bought a Fiat Panda 4×4.

Name a car that can run on a 50% sloap and with ease…check out the video below and see how a Fiat Panda 4×4 performs compared to a Range Rover:

2009 Detroit Auto Show: New Toyota Prius

This is the brand new Honda Insight Toyota Prius. Sorry sometimes I get these two confused, I’m not sure why, but I do. We all know the Toyota Prius, but what really interests us is the consumption ratio right? Well it gets a 50 mpg combined consumption ratio. It got a bigger 1.8 engine that provides you 98 polluting hp and with the hybrid system on the car has a total of 134 hp.

2009 Detroit Auto Show: Fisker Karma

Fisker Karma is the car of the moment. Everybody wants to have one, and why shouldn’t they? It’s gorgeous. Fisker really hit the jackpot with this one, they made a hybrid car that sits on 22″ alloy wheel and can hit 0-60 mph in 5.8 seconds and cruise gently at 125 mph. All this with two 201 hp engines connected to some Li-ion batteries and a gasoline engine that usese it’s 260 hp to charge the batteries. That’s not bad for an electric car, Tesla eat your heart out.
